Dola Hamilton Stemberg’s Brazilian Avenue Home Sold for $4.2 Million

Dola Hamilton Stemberg, ex-wife of Staples Inc. founder Thomas G. Stemberg, has sold her four-bedroom Palm Beach home for $4.2 million.

Located on Brazilian Avenue in Palm Beach, the home is situated on a street that has seen plenty of house sales recently. Brazilian Avenue is just a block south of Royal Palm Way and very close to popular shopping and dining areas of town. It is also within walking distance of the beach and Town Docks.

The 4,600-square-foot home at 430 Brazilian Ave. features four bedrooms, a large foyer, an elegant master suite, two fireplaces, a private loggia by the lap pool and a separate one-bedroom guest apartment. Built in 2005, the home was previously listed for $4.395 million last year. According to records, Stemberg purchased the home in May 2010 for $3.975 million.

Other Brazilian Avenue home sales this year include 416 Brazilian Avenue, which sold for $7.35 million in March; 133 Brazilian Avenue, which sold for $6.6 million in April; 323 Brazilian Avenue, which sold for $3.11 million in April; 429 Brazilian Avenue, which sold for $2.8 million in May; and 141 Brazilian Avenue, which sold for $5 million in July.

There are currently four single-family homes for sale on Brazilian Avenue, ranging from $3.2 million to $5.5 million. There is also a townhouse listed for $2.9 million and a vacant lot listed for $9.8 million.
