In April 2011, the Bel-Air Bar & Grill surrendered its liquor license and closed for remodeling. The restaurant, currently owned by Susan Disney Lord, has now announced it will reopen in November.

Currently undergoing massive renovations, the Bel-Air Bar & Grill is set to reopen in November. Owned by Susan Disney Lord, Walt Disney’s niece, the restaurant will be reopening as its former self, “only better.”

Located on Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles, Bel-Air Bar & Grill is just steps away from the Getty Center on the edge of swanky Bel-Air. Previously serving California and American classics such as tuna tartar and meatloaf, Bel-Air Bar & Grill featured outdoor dining, a bar and an elegant and romantic atmosphere. It is currently unclear what sort of interior changes will be made to the restaurant for its reopening.

According to reports, Lord bought the adjoining building where she plans to run the Roy Disney Family Foundation. This building will feature an additional dining room for private events and be able to accommodate any overflow from the next-door restaurant. Lord will also be re-launching “The Shack” for to-go orders of sandwiches, coffee, sodas and more.

Bel-Air Bar & Grill’s website notes that in anticipation of their upcoming reopening, they are now accepting deposits for events in their new private dining room for dates in December 2012.

Bel-Air Bar & Grill is located at 662 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049.
