The House of Amouage has introduced their latest scent: Interlude. This rich and majestic perfume evokes an air of disorder while maintaining a sense of balance and tranquility through the use of Frankincense and Myrrh. An orchestrated blend of technical skill and creative integrity, this fragrance acts as a personal discovery in the quest for inner harmony when faced with external chaos.
“I interpret what I see and feel into scents,” says Amouage Creative Director Christopher Chong. “All the social and natural chaos and disorder surrounding us today can be translated to a much more intimate level. The interlude moment is a reflection of all the trials and tribulations one overcomes to attain personal satisfaction and achievement.” Interlude Woman combines the sweetness of bergamot with bitterness of grapefruit for the top notes, while rose, frankincense and sandalwood are mixed with an unconventional combination of nut, coffee, kiwi, honey and agarwood. A majestic base of sumptuous amber and vanilla endow warmth to the perfume’s rebellious mixture.
Interlude Man’s zesty bergamot, oregano and pimento berry oil conjure conflict which are countered by harmonious notes of amber, frankincense, cistus and myrrh. The base features hints of leather, agarwood smoke, patchouli and sandalwood providing for layers of depth and texture. “Amouage has established an enviable reputation for re-inventing accustomed scents. Frankincense and myrrh traditionally smell spiritual and religious, but in Interlude they have been reconstructed to feel contemporary yet sophisticated.”
Amouage’s signature glass crystal bottles are introduced in a rich and mesmerizing midnight blue complete with gold-plated detailing on the cap and accentuated with a sapphire blue Swarovski crystal. Vibrant colors enrich the packaging in an abstract and conceptual representation of orderly chaos.
