Singer-songwriter Kelis invaded Tryst Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas for a one-of-a-kind boutique performance on Friday night. Well-known for her catchy R & B and rap tunes, the songstress has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards as well as acquired a Brit Award, Q Award and NME Award since breaking into the scene.

The R & B singer not only knows how to move a crowd with her words, but she is also a known fashion maverick, designing her own line of accessories and taking on animal rights activists PETA over her love of furs. Her creative, cutting-edge and often flamboyant style has been an inspiration across the globe and even landed her on E!’s “Fashion Police” earlier this month.

Her Friday night ensemble had her glistening from head to toe, with a large gold crown drawing attention down to her nose ring, chunky necklace, gold bangle bracelets, glitter body dust and dazzling pumps for the performance. Shortly after midnight, Kelis made her way across the Tryst red carpet, with a glittering champagne cocktail dress dripping in jewels making her stand out for the upcoming performance.

She took the stage with an explosive entrance and, with microphone in hand, Kelis spit out numerous of her club stoppers while working fluidly own the stage just after 1 a.m. On her second song, she actually jumped on the drums for the performance, quite a feat in the mini-dress, but the songstress managed to rock out while the dance floor pulsed in response. Tryst’s incredible architecture played host to one of the most magnificent backdrops with the 90-foot cascading waterfall blazing her name on the rocks as she serenaded from the stage in front of the club’s signature lagoon.
