Wednesday night’s launch of Cointreau’s Poolside Soirees at The Beverly Hills Hotel was such a haute bash that even Natalie Portman took a rare night off to play.

The Oscar winner and husband Benjamin Millepied, who are new LA residents, stepped out for the chic bash, which featured performances from burlesque queen Dita von Teese and synchronized swimming group The Aqualillies.

Guests including Mary-Louise Parker, Marisa Tomei, hair guru Ken Paves, electronic act Daft Punk and photographer Ellen von Unwerth sipped on Cointreau Cobblers and Sunset Margaritas as they caught the vintage-style performances, including a set from Frank Sinatra crooner Luca Ellis.

The seven-week Poolside Series will run from July 13-August 24. Los Angeles locals are invited to the pool from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm without cover to experience vintage bar cart service and signature drinks from the haute hotel’s 100th Anniversary menu, as well as special live performances.

Both the launch event and on-going series will benefit Project Angel Food, a charitable organization that cooks and delivers free nutritious meals to men, women and children affected by life-threatening illnesses.
