Aston Martin DB3S Poised For Victory At Auction

Aston Martin’s curvy 1955 DB3S Sports Racing Car is a rare specimen of the auto maker’s classic curves, with only 21 units ever offered for sale to the public. This August, well-qualified collectors have a chance at obtaining this archetypal speed racer at auction in Monterrey, California.

Hans Davids piloted the vehicle to victory at his home track in Zanvoort, as well as impressive showings in circuits across Europe, before he sold it to American racing enthusiast Paul Hyatt. From there, the racer fell into the hands of a series of collectors, who provided continual care up until the present day, leaving the car in such good condition that it is expected to sell for $3,500,000-$4,000,000 at the auction on August 17.
