A Look Inside Los Angeles’ Towne Food & Drink

Brought to Los Angeles by Armen Shirvanian and designed by Mark Zeff, Towne Food & Drink has soft opened in Downtown Los Angeles. Serving New American cuisine with a diverse selection of American desserts, Towne Food & Drink is headed by two chefs, Eric Hara and Ryan Morrison.

Located within the WaterMarke Tower in Downtown Los Angeles, Towne Food & Drink is divided into a modern red and white dining room with sheer drapery softening the space and providing a sense of privacy yet connection with the city outside. Partitioned to provide an additional sense of intimacy within each section, the restaurant also features tiled off-white columns, a brown leather ceiling, an outdoor terrace, a lounge area next to the bar outlined in wood-paneling and a coffee bar and dessert section that greets diners at the front entrance.

Chef Hara and Morrison cook up innovative culinary dishes such as Beef Cheek Pot Roast with mini popovers, Skate Milanese with cauliflower, wilted spinach and hazelnuts, Bone Marrow Matzo Ball Soup with shitakes and beef consommé and for those with a sweet tooth, Towne Food & Drink also has pastry chef Tamara Davis creating some amazing desserts such as new takes on the classic Twinkie in multiple flavors. If you plan on taking your sweets home with you, Towne’s take-away boxes are shaped like elegant hat boxes.

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant is opened daily for dinner and lunch. They will be adding breakfast service soon.
