Macchialina: A New Italian Eatery by Pubbelly Group and Chef Michael Pirolo

The residential west side of South Beach is welcoming a new Italian restaurant that is sure to capture the attention of Miami foodies everywhere. The trio that brought us Pubbelly, Pubbelly Sushi and Barceloneta are unveiling their newest brainchild to the streets of SoBe, on 8th and Alton to be exact, with Macchialina.

Jose Mendin, Sergio Navarro and Andreas Schreiner of the Pubbelly group have teamed up with Chef Michael Pirolo, formerly of Scarpetta, to bring patrons authentic Italian cuisine. We’re hoping that the creative concoctions of Pubbelly and the flavorful dishes of Scarpetta are an indication of what we can expect from Macchialina; and if so, our taste buds are already watering in immense anticipation.

And the ambiance will be seemingly similar to that of their counterparts. Guests will enjoy intimate lighting, dark wood accents and red leather chairs surrounded by rustic brick walls while savoring dishes like Taleggio and Braised Short Rib Lasagna and Cavatelli “Macchialina” with Ragu Napoletano and Pecorino. Also notably worth trying is the Pork Chop Milanese with pork jus and arugula. Buon Appetito!
