With their daily lives constantly in public view, many celebrities like seclusion and privacy when it comes down to their personal relationships. It comes as little surprise then to know that numerous A-list celebrities choose a private island for their romantic honeymoon getaways. Haute Living looks at a few of the private islands regularly visited by Hollywood’s elite.

Despite the public’s desire to see their favorite celebrity tie the knot, many A-listers do their best to keep their special day private. When it comes to the honeymoons of the rich and famous, often secrecy and privacy is even more sought-after by those who are normally in the spotlight. When Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore honeymooned, they went to Hotel Rey Juan Carlos in Barcelona to get some privacy. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston went to the private island of Fregate in the Seychelles in 2000 and with less than 20 lodgings and a private butler for each villa, it’s likely the former couple got the peace and quiet they were looking for.

After getting married in Studio City, pop princess Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline also chose to go to a private island staying at Turtle Island in Fiji. Former couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey also honeymooned on Turtle Island in 2002.

Other famous celebrity getaways include, the One & Only Palmilla Resort in Cabo where Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt honeymooned, Parrot Cay in Turks & Caicos where Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz flew to after their wedding, the One & Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives where Fergie and Josh Duhamel honeymooned, Esperanza Resort in Cabo where Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin honeymooned (as did LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibran), and the Four Seasons Costa Rica where Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen honeymooned.
