Wet Republic at the MGM Grand celebrated its fifth-year anniversary with non-stop events this past weekend. Thousands of bikini-clad revelers and electronic music lovers headed to the Las Vegas pool party destination to see global music phenomenon Bob Sinclar and Grammy Award-nominee Sky Blu of LMFAO. Since its inception, Wet Republic has elevated the Vegas daylife scene to a new level of sophistication and style. Always evolving, the adults-only playground will exceed expectations as it continues to celebrate its fifth season all summer long.
On Saturday, June 9, Sinclar manned the decks at 3 p.m. and spun his chart-topping hits “Love Generation,” “Life Is Love,” “World, Hold On,” and many more. Matching the high-energy from the guests on the dance floor, he kept the pool party packed and pumping by also playing tracks from his latest album Disco Crash including “Rock The Boat.” Sinclar could not get enough of the atmosphere as he kept fans dancing all day long.
Festivities continued as Sky Blu of LMFAO returned to the daylife destination for his monthly DJ residency “Who Came To Party!?” Sunday, June 10. Sky Blu took over the DJ booth at 3 p.m. and performed his popular hits including “Party Rock Anthem,” “Sorry For Party Rocking,” “Sexy And I Know It,” “We Came Here To Party” and more. Joined by The Smiley Gang, featuring fellow Big Bad artists Mark Rosas, BVillain and girlfriend Chelsea Korka, the performance DJs had fans on their feet all afternoon long. During the middle of his show, the artist paraded around the venue and ended with a special surprise as he emerged in the center of the crowd and sprayed down partygoers with champagne as he sang “Champagne Showers.”
Additional celebrity guests spotted at “Who Came To Party!?” were apl.de.ap from The Black Eyed Peas and R&B singer Omarion.
