Haute Event: High Line Art Celebrates Latest Installment On High Line Billboard With Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari

On Thursday night High Line Art, celebrated the newest installment of HIGH LINE BILLBOARD by acclaimed artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari for Toilet Paper presented by DISARONNO at the legendary West Chelsea bar The Eagle.

On the HIGH LINE BILLBOARD, the large billboard next to the park at West 18th Street, artists selected a surreal image which both celebrates and parodies the deceptive power of commercial photography, conjuring the dreamlike atmosphere seen in film noir. This marks the first international public part project by Toilet Paper.

The evening also included the launch of the sixth edition of Toilet Paper Magazine with special cocktails by DISARONNO including the DISARONNO Godfather, DISARONNO Sour and DISARONNO Mule.

Guests including designers Phillip Lim and Richard Chi danced late into the night with music by Honey Dijon, Bruce La Bruce, Michael Magnan, and Justine D. A surprise performance by artist Kembra Pfahler with her group The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black performed for guests on the rooftop.

Other notables in attendance included artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, Friends of the High Line co-founder Robert Hammond, Donald R. Mullen, Jr. Curator and Director of High Line Art Cecilia Alemani, Donald Mullen, Philip and Shelley Aarons, Jenna Lyons,  Kehinde Wiley, Ryan McNamara, Liz Magic Laser, Lynn Yaeger, Todd Eberle, Tom Eccles, Tony Oursler, Haydee Finley Levin, Young Kim, Sebastien Perrin, Laurent Claquin, Mark Holgate, Louis Terline, Andrew Harmon, Paul Marlow, Joey Giuntoli, Mack Dugan, Kyle Brincefield, and Cyril Duval, among many others.
