George Clooney may just have another Academy Award winner on his hands. The Weinstein Company announced today that the 51-year-old actor will co-produce the film version of Pulitzer Prize-winning play August: Osage County.
In addition to the fact that he’s working with some great material, as Tracy Letts’ work won the Tony Award for Best Play in 2008, he also has an all-star cast.
Those already confirmed for the juicy family drama include Julia Roberts as willful daughter Barbara Weston and Meryl Streep as her cancer-ridden, drug-addicted mother, Violet.
