To mark the 200th year anniversary of Russia’s victory of Napoleon in the War of 1812, a thousand people in Moscow took their bicycles to the streets of the capital city.

Local road police accompanied the riders as they covered approximately 30 km across Moscow through the city’s boulevards. Each bicyclist was required to wear headphones with an FM-radio tuned in so that they could listen to a lecture by a history professor who had organized the route the riders took through the city.

Despite a bit of bad weather, the crowds enjoyed the evening zigzagging across the streets of Moscow celebrating the occasion.
