Shanghai’s 23 million residents have spoken – they want more unique dining experiences. AmRest HK Limited is answering their call by opening two La Tagliatella restaurants in the City Center district of Shanghai this summer.

The two new restaurants will be located in Shanghai’s City Center, the city’s fast-growing business center. The La Tagliatella restaurants will be the first locations outside of Europe for AmRest HK Limited, which is a joint venture between AmRest Holding SE and Stubb’s Asia Limited. To market to the Chinese consumers, the restaurants will be branded as Chun Yi Tang – Pure Italian Heaven.

Greg Walther of Stubb’s Asia Limited said, “We are excited to develop these restaurants and look forward to introducing Shanghai to a dining concept that has been extremely successful in Europe. La Tagliatella will deliver a unique experience and expand the dining options for Shanghai residents interested in high-quality Italian food for casual dining prices.”

La Tagliatella will be serving Northern Italian cuisine using authentic recipes from the Liguria, Piamonte and Reggio Emilia regions of Italy.

Currently there are 135 La Tagliatella restaurants located in Spain, France and Andorra.

“…La Tagliatella will bring some of the tastiest, most authentic Italian food available back to China, and expect the brand to have the same rapid growth here that it has in Europe,” said Walther.

Details about opening dates are not currently available.
