On Friday, June 1, Haight Ashbury Free Clinics – Walden House will host their first annual gala: ”Black Tie and Tie Dye”.
Walden House and Haight Ashbury Free Clinics have individually served San Francisco’s most vulnerable community for decades, providing services, expertise, and compassion to people need to change their lives for the better. The two longstanding organizations merged in July 2011 to form Haight Ashbury Free Clinics – Walden House.
The theme “Black Tie and Tie Dye” was drawn from the roots of both organizations. Haight Ashbury Free Clinics opened its doors in 1967 as the first free medical clinic in the country. In 1969, Walden House was founded to address homelessness and adolescent drug abuse that was prominent during this time.
To begin the first-ever Black Tie and Tie Dye Gala off with a bang, Haight Ashbury Free Clinics – Walden House held their pre-gala launch party at GUMP’s boutique on Wednesday, April 11.
So get creative with that black-tie attire! Get ready for dinner, dancing, and a lively auction. But most importantly, get out and support a most worthy cause.
