On June 30th at 6 pm, stars will be gathering together for a fun-filled night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for a “Night of Comedy” hosted by The David Lynch Foundation. The star-studded event will include special performances by Garry Shandling, Sarah Silverman, Russell Brand and a surprise guest that will the award-winning executive producer, manager and agent George Shapiro, who has been known for producing the TV comedy “Seinfeld. But that’s not all, for decades Shapiro has been Jerry Seinfeld’s manager. George Shapiro will be honored with the first ever “Lifetime of Bliss Award” from the David Lynch Foundation.

Other celebs that are supporters of the foundation include: Martin Scorsese, Ringo Starr, Oprah Winfrey, Hugh Jackman, Paul McCartney, Clint Eastwood, Ellen DeGeneres, Howard Stern, Gwyneth Paltrow, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Susan Sarandon.

The best part of the event is the worthy cause in which it supports. This year the event recognizes the very best men and women who have touched the world with their creativity, happiness, peace, health and education. So it would only be fair to raise funds for underserved youth and veterans.

Seven years ago, The David Lynch Foundation started by legendary filmmaker David Lynch as a nonprofit to bring awareness to at-risk populations by introducing stress reducing Transcendental Meditation technique worldwide. Each year, the organization provides thousands of scholarships for abused women and children, veterans with PTSD and at-risk youth.

The evening will be filled with so many other events from cocktail reception, dinner to an awards show, with all proceeds benefitting the foundation. Tickets are $1000 and if interested in group sponsorship packages they are available. For more information about the “Night of Comedy,” visit http://georgeshapiro.davidlynchfoundation.org/
