Bonhams will auction the greatest single collection of Montblanc pens during the Mel Wilmore Collection of Extraordinary Montblanc auction this June. Prior to the auction, the collection will be showcased in Hong Kong and New York.

Wilmore has been collecting Montblanc pens since 1978 when his employers presented him with his first stunning pen, a black Meisterstruck, for his good performance. This ignited a devotion to Montblanc and Wilmore has been collecting the exquisite pens ever since. His collection includes anniversary editions to Bohemes to Limited Editions.

The auction is expected to include nearly 300 pens in total, however Wilmore’s 75th Anniversary Solid Gold Skeleton Fountain Pen is considered a true highlight. The solid gold Fountain Pen and Watch Set will be auctioned off in June and is expected to fetch between $60,000 and $75,000.

Wilmore’s Charlie Chaplin Limited Edition Fountain Pen is expected to fetch between $25,000 to $35,000 and his Stars and Stripes Limited Edition Fountain Pen is estimated between $15,000 and $25,000.

The list of auction items also includes a Ruby Creation Limited Edition Fountain Pen ($12,000-$20,000) and a White House Limited Edition Fountain Pen ($20,000-$30,000).
