Haute Fashion Daily: Versace Switches from Brights to Black and White in New Ad Campaign

Over some years now, Versace has been known to brighten up our days with the designer’s choice of bright colors for its clothing. Vibrant colors like lime, orange and lemon have been seen sashaying down the runway on some of the most beautiful top models in the industry, but the Italian label has surprised many with its less colorful latest ad campaign.

The designer has decided to embrace the monochromatic theme in their latest ad for the autumn/winter collection which features Dutch model Elza Luijendijk; a model who is no stranger to the runway with previous work with Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu and Elie Saab. The photographers Marcus Piggot and Mert Alas mainly focused on a more sexy rock style that came alive through the help of stylist, Joe McKenna.

Luijendik rocked a very edgy look with bleached eyebrows and razor-cut hairstyle, against the backdrop of large cement blocks with large metal chains and a more subdue marine painted background, making the scene much more industrial.
