Haute Event: Club Colette Hosts Closing Dinner

Club Colette, a dining club in Palm Beach, hosted its closing dinner on May 18, beginning in the courtyard with delicious cocktails and appetizers like cheese puffs, pigs-in-blankets and smoked salmon.

The event then moved its over 100 guests to the dining room, where a “greatest hits” menu was served of the club’s hugely popular International theme nights.  The dinner included Asian lobster with black bean sauce to start, followed by a tropical citrus salad and an Argentine asado-style mixed grill of duck sausage, filet and lamb for the main course. The feast was topped off with an Italian semifreddo for dessert and lots of dancing to burn it all off.

Notable guests include Nassrine and Norman Traverse, Mark and Sonja Stevens, Gail Nessel, Joyce and Clother Vaughn, Terry and Joe Mendozza, Lois Pope, Mary and Mark Freitas, Sondra and David Mack, Helene and Stanley Karp, Judy and Gil Messing, Lorraine and Malcolm Hall, Paige Rense, Dom and Susan Telesco, Joan and David Genser, Nancy and Bill Rollnick, Brownie McLean, BJaye and Frank Piloitte, Nancy Rayburn, Maria Ponton Freidman, Elliott Schnall, Thorne and Trish Donnelley, Kathy and Alan Bleznak, Dan and Karen Swanson and Nancy and Don Carter.

The club will reopen in October 2012.
