Mixed martial arts fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez celebrated his UFC 146 victory at Tabú at the MGM Grand on Saturday night. Earlier in the evening, Velasquez won his UFC 146 bout against Anderson “Big Foot” Silva by TKO in the first round. Velasquez arrived on the red carpet a little after midnight, excited and ready to celebrate his win.
Sporting jeans and a gray Dethrone T-shirt, Velasquez walked the carpet just outside of Tabú with a few friends including other MMA fighters Daniel Cormier, the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion; Luke Rockhold, the current Strikeforce middleweight champion; and Lavar Johnson who also fought in a heavyweight bout at UFC 146.
A huge crowd gathered to see the fighters as they posed for photos and signed autographs for fans. Once inside the stylish boutique nightclub, the group was escorted to their VIP table, elevated above the venue.
Velasquez smiled and waved to guests as DJ Kid Jay introduced him to the crowd. The victorious fighter took in the moment while songs including “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khaled, “The Motto” by Drake featuring Lil Wayne and “Be Faithful” by Fat Man Scoop featuring Faith Evans, among others, played at the crowded club. Velasquez and his friends continued to party late into the evening, staying at the club until the early morning hours as DJ Kid Jay and Tabú’s sultry go-go dancers kept the crowded club on the dance floor all night long.
