Dori’s World: Goga Ashkenazi Buys Fashion Brand, Vionnet

Goga Ashkenazi, has bought the historical fashion brand, Vionnet!

This iconic brand was established in France in 1912 by Madeleine Vionnet who dressed the world’s fashion elite of the day including Katharine Hepburn, Ava Gardner, Joan Crawford and many others. The brand was re-launched three years ago under Italian businessmen, Matteo Marzotto and Gianni Castiglioni.

Marzotto was formerly CEO and a major shareholder at Valentino and is renowned for turning the company around before selling it on. He is currently CEO at Vionnet. Castiglioni is founder and CEO of the highly successful ready-to-wear and accessories brand, Marni. He is strategic director at Vionnet and works closely with Mr Marzotto.

Goga assumes her new role as executive chairperson of the brand in this historic year which celebrates Vionnet’s 100th anniversary. The brand will celebrate in spectacular style at Paris Fashion Week in September with a fashion show and anniversary celebrations to include many of today’s fashion elite.

Congrats Goga!
