On June 3 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., The Art of Eating event will include afternoon of food and wine tastings paired with live and silent auctions. The event’s name is based on MFK Fisher’s book, The Art of Eating, a collection of works examining and changing the way we think about eating and drinking in the U.S.

Celebrating “women who change the way we eat,” The Art of Eating event is a fundraising event for ACR, a non-profit organization that owns a system of wildlife sanctuaries and manages thousands of acres of wild lands in Marin and Sonoma Counties. They also provide experiential nature-based educational experiences to Bay Area school kids each year, at no cost to the schools.

On the menu for the event, dishes such as Costaux French Bakery Walnut Toast with local farm hard cooked egg, Laura Chenel goat cheese, parsley, golden raisin and cumin, Point Reyes farmstead cheese, early summer watermelon with Point Reyes farmstead mozzarella skewers, roasted Marin Sun farms juicy spring chickens accompanied by a carrot, beet & lentil Salad with simple mustard vinaigrette from the farm of Chef Sondra Bernstein and finally, an amuse bouche of Rhubarb Fool with cardamom crème and pistachios by Chef Isa Jacoby followed by a wild sweet ending platter by Chocolatier Shelly Fields of Wicked Bonbons & Pastry Chef Condra Easley of Patisserie Angelica.
