San Francisco Symphony Announces Lineup for 2012 Black & White Ball

The San Francisco Symphony has announced the complete lineup for the 2012 Black & White Ball.

The June 2 event will begin at 8 p.m. with a concert in Davies Symphony Hall featuring Paul Simon with the San Francisco Symphony, as well as Simon’s own band.

Beginning at 9 p.m. and held throughout the War Memorial Performing Arts Complex will be 10 bands on five different stages. Grammy-winning band The Wallflowers will co-headline an outdoor party stage with pop superstar Cyndi Lauper. Janelle Monae will make a special guest appearance and DJ Masonic—featured in the recent American Mavericks festival—will perform. Also on the lineup is R&B royalty The Drifters, The Brenna Whitaker Little Big Band, Neil Diamond-inspired dance band Super Diamond, 13-piece salsa ensemble Avance, funk troupe Scott Carter and New Breed, Notorious, and the Dr. Bobby Rodriguez Latin Jazz Group.
