Las Olas Wine and Food Festival is Only the Tip of the Iceberg in Week of Events

The 17th annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival is on April 20th but restaurants throughout Palm Beach are having pre-fiesta’s with their own events before the 4/20 bash.

Kicking things off on Monday is “Bourbon and Burgers” at Tap 42 from 7pm to 10pm.  For $42, participants can sample burgers and down bourbons from Angel’s Envy, Old Forester, Woodford Reserve and Hudson.

But “Bourbon and Burgers” is only the first leg of the food and booze induced week.  On Wednesday, April 18, from 6pm to 9pm, the Riverside Hotel will host a Spanish wine and tapas dinner at Preston’s Martini Lounge.  Expect Flamenco dancing and sangria, the event is $40 per person.

Before the big night on Friday, a Banfi vitner’s party is going down at Tuscan Grill.  From 7pm to 11pm, the event is a must for partygoers.  The Italian courtyard festival costs $65 for food, beer and wine or if liquor is your drink of choice, $85.

All these events lead up to the mother of all festivals in Palm Beach, the Las Olas Wine and Food Festival.  This year 70 restaurants will partake one way or another and 45 tables of beer will be open.  From 7:30pm to 10pm, the festival costs $100 per person, but that is a small price to pay for unlimited food and drinks, a great setting and amazing weather.  Plus all the proceeds are donated to the American Lung Association.

Following the big festival, the Cheese Culture will offer a Rise and Shine brunch to help with that inevitable hangover, be it from food or alcohol, starting at 11am to 2pm.  For guests can munch on an array of egg and meat dishes along with unlimited mimosas for $35.
