Christian Louboutin is one of the world’s most celebrated shoe brands and without much formal training, the designer who began sketching shoes when he was just a teenager has been bringing in revenues of around $250 million every year. Christian Louboutin started his career as a freelance designer for luxury brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Maude Frizon before opening his own shoe salon in 1991 with the financial backing of two sources, including Princess of Monaco. Shortly after, numerous celebrities clients like Catherine Deneuve and Diane Von Furstenburg jumped on board catapulting Christian Louboutin into the world of luxury shoes and global recognition.

The Marie Antoinette Collection

A limited edition collection done in lace, ribbon and embroidery that costs $6,000. There were only 36 pairs available and the shoes come in shades of pink, yellow and blue. They were designed in collaboration with Jean Francois Lesage.

The Capsule Collection

To celebrate Louboutin’s 20th anniversary, the designer wanted to take a journey back in time by launching a capsule range that embodies all of the central themes that have come to define Louboutin’s work for the past two decades. There are 26 pieces in the collection including six hand bags and 20 styles of shoes.
