The man behind the Star Wars empire has finally given up on his Grady Ranch project in Marin County.
After 25 years of pushing for the construction of a Lucasfilm Ltd. production studio, he announced on Tuesday that he would be taking his studio about 15 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and would break ground hopefully around the beginning of next year.
