Dalai Lama To Speak At Royal Albert Hall In London

His Holiness the Dali Lama will speak at the Royal Albert Hall this June as part of a series of Buddhist teachings and talks across the United Kingdom.  The spiritual leader of the Tibetan people will examine the relationship between the heart and mind along with a Q&A session afterwards.

The June 19th event, “Real Change Happens in the Heart,” will surely sell out quickly; his past events have drawn tens of thousands of spectators.  The event begins at 2pm and is hosted by the Tibet House Trust and the Tibetan Community in Britain.  Following his talk, there will be a performance of Tibetan songs and dance.

Along with the public talk in London, the Dalai Lama will visit Manchester Arena in Manchester from June 16 to 18.  The event will share a similar theme to the London talk with the focus on the heart and mind and how we can develop an open heart.  Also His Holiness will hold a public talk in Scotland on June 22 and 23.  Tickets range from £10 to £100.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tensin Gyatso, was born on July 6, 1935, in Northern Tibet.  At the age of two he was recognized as the incarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama.  Then At 15, he assumed full political and spiritual power in Tibet and became Buddhism’s most venerated symbol.  In March 2011, the Dalai Lama retired from his position as the political leader of the Central Tibetan Administration and now tours the world giving talks on Buddhist teachings.
