Beginning 29 March through 5 April a week of celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of the Christian Louboutin brand gripped Dubai.  The week opened with the launch of the Christian Louboutin exhibition at The Dubai Mall which offered a deeper insight into the man behind the red soles and also explored principles themes which have come to define his craft and distinct style.  Flown in straight from Paris, the exhibition displayed the iconic Pensee shoes which inspired the creation of Louboutin’s renowned red sole.
On 3 April 3rd Christian Louboutin personally hosted Dubai’s top VIPs and socialites for a circus-themed night of fun and dancing. Guests, which included designer Henry Holland and model Poppy Delevigne, were transported into the world of Louboutin in the amphitheatre of the One & Only Royal Mirage transformed to represent the backstage of a circus. Jugglers and stilt walkers entertained the crowd while guests danced under the stars. The highlight of Christian Louboutin’s visit to Dubai, the event was one of the features of the designer’s global 20th anniversary celebrations.
An important milestone for the brand, the anniversary was marked by the release of the ChristianLouboutin book published by Rizzoli and the Capsule Collection. Christian Louboutin boutiques are located in the Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Beirut Souks, Al Khayyat Mall in Jeddah, the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh and now in The Villaggio Mall in Doha.
