Th2 23rd annual Walk For Life takes place through central London May 20 and is themed ‘Kings and Queens’ to tie in with the Diamond Jubilee. The Terrance Higgins Trust puts on the charity event every year to raise money for The Hardship Fund, which provides one-off small grants for people living with the double burden of HIV and severe financial need.
Participants are encouraged to enrobe, becrown and tiarafy themselves for a royal 10km stroll around the city. Creativity is also encouraged; think Elvis, Queen of Hearts, King Kong, ect. Royal participants in street clothes are also welcome. This year, organizers are setting a goal of 1,500 walkers and £140,000 in donations.
