On Thursday March 15th, the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation hosted its Fielding Dreams Gala at Skylight Soho honoring Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez and President and CEO of The Corcoran Group, Pamela Liebman.
The foundation celebrated the continued success of Randall’s Island Park as a sprawling sports destination dedicated to healthy lifestyles for New York City children. Sanchez kicked off the evening by presenting a group of children from the Casita Maria Center for The Arts & Education with the Fielding Dreams NYC Youth All-Star Award for their continued participation in the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation’s free summer camp program.
Emceed by Willie Geist of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the event hosted a high-profile crowd of nearly 500 philanthropists, city officials and leaders in the sports, health and finance industries including creator/executive producer of BRAVO TV’s “Inside the Actor’s Studio” James Lipton and dinner co-chairs Michael Boxer, Mark I. Greene and Richard J. Mack.
A dinner followed a live auction with renowned auctioneer CK Sweet of Phillips de Pury. Among the items sold was an invitation to join Mark Sanchez on set for a commercial shot, two tickets to the 2012 Vicotira Secret Fashion Show with prime seating and access to the after part and a Bruce Weber. photograph. All proceeds benifited the Randall’s Island Sports Foundation.
