Downtown London’s Hotel Metro To Undergo Major Transformation

Downtown London’s boutique hotel, Hotel Metro, will undergo a revamp under new management.

Ehsan Khandaker took over in September as partner and manager, and he has been working with principal owner Shiraz Karmali ever since to carry out a number of renovations and upgrades stemming from guest feedback. This will include upgraded services like new carpeting, compact refrigerators, additional lighting, upgraded in-room coffee and phone service.

Hotel Metro opened in 2009 at 125 Dundas St., sharing a new building with Braise Food and Wine. The hotel boasts 20 rooms and set out to serve a niche market with a chic, contemporary style and superior service.

Khandaker has 24 years of experience in the hospitality business, and his success even extends to hotel chains in both the United States and Canada.

In the future, Metro Hotel will also offer corporate packages, including in-room massage and free transportation for wedding parties.
