Discovery Celebration Gala, Chaired By Trump, Raises More Than $1.5 Million For Cancer

The friends and supporters of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute gathered for the 21st annual Discovery Celebration Feb. 18, which turned out to be a $1.5 million evening.

A European and musical-themed event took place at the Mar-a-Lago Club and began with an outdoor reception entertained by the Palm Beach Symphony for background music. Guests dined on hors d’oeuvres, vodka luge and caviar bar.

Guests moved to the Grand Ballroom after the cocktail hour for entertainment by flamenco dancers and the Masterworks Chorus, dinner, and dancing to music by Sultans of Swing.

Donald and Melania Trump were chairman and chairwoman of the event that raised more than $1.5 million for the adult and pediatric cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. More than 325 people attended.
