Christie’s will be holding a pre-auction exhibition of Dutch art in Moscow on April 12 and 13, which will include a Rembrandt and other 17th century pieces.
During the pre-auction exhibition in Moscow, Christie’s will be displaying a Rembrandt painting of half-length portrait of a man in a hate and breastplate. It is currently priced at £8-12 million and was reportedly created between 1626-27. The exhibition will also feature 15 additional pieces of 17th century Ducth art, all of which will head to auction on the July 3 in London.
Rembrandt was a Dutch painter and etcher and often considered one of the greatest printmakers in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
