Celebrity Cruises’ award-winning cuisine has caught the attention of the prestigious James Beard Foundation. As a result, this esteemed non-profit organization has welcomed the cruise line’s top Chefs Jacques Van Staden and John Suley to cook at the James Beard House in New York City. This is the first time the James Beard House is featuring cruise line chefs in its kitchen. The event will take place on April 5, 2012.

The James Beard house today is regarded as a culinary performance space. It is acclaimed for its events that inspire and entertain, ignite in people the appreciation for cuisine and, most importantly, educate. As such, The James Beard Foundation is recognizing Van Staden and Suley for their extraordinary, dynamic cuisine aboard the Celebrity Cruises – which has paved the road for high-end cruise ship dining.

Van Staden and Suley have a six-course meal planned for that evening, which will feature a fusion of their cuisine on Celebrity Cruises and their own ingenuity and globally influenced style. A wine list has also been selected to complement each course, by Celebrity Cruises’ sommelier and beverage programming expert, Chanelle Duarte.

Tickets are available to the general public, but eating for this event is limited.. For more information, visit www.jamesbeard.org
