Spring/Summer 2012 Etro Fashion Show Presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and Haute Living Miami

ON A PERFECTLY BREEZY Miami Beach night, Etro fans gathered at the Soho Beach House for what promised to be a posh fashion circus of the sort only the Italian fashion house can deliver.

Hosted by ringleader—and avid Etro wearer—Gisela Lowenstein and Haute Living Miami, the show was one of an invitation-only variety, seating some 50 of Miami’s top fashion consumers. The soiree was held in the confines of a private library where the privileged few could not only view the collection, straight from the Milan runway, but also order directly from the evening’s retail host, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bal Harbour Shops.

And the reaction was stellar.

For those who follow Etro collections, it’s no secret that this particular collection, as put on by Veronica Etro, was a departure from the usual repeating paisley patterns in bright hues with which the brand is so often associated. Instead, a series of sorbet-toned, flapper inspired, Jazz Age dresses paraded down the runway leaving onlookers excited by the fresh approach.

Fringe flew. Cutouts ran rampant. Sleek ponytails polished it all off.

Adriana de Moura, Gisela and Diego Lowenstein, Dr. Marilyn and Ricardo Padilla, Lauren Foster, Harvey Daniels, Darren and Corrine Enkin, Flavia Lowenstein, Juan Azulay, Alessia Marelli, Tony and Teresa Artis, Coralie and Patrick Duchamp, Elliot and Jessica Dornbusch, Jennifer Postrel, Sheldon and Maria Lowe, and a select few others concluded the evening on the rooftop terrace where they enjoyed decadent sweets and champagne.

The paisley was present in another way, however. Guests were gifted full-size bottles of Etro’s signature fragrance, Paisley, on their way out.
