Santa Monica’s Naam Yoga will be hosting a citywide fundraising event to benefit the Cancer Support Community (CSC) – Benjamin Center, an affiliate of CSC, the largest provider of cancer support in the world. The event will take place on February 25 and all participants will pledge to raise at least $500.

Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts will head Naam Yoga in Santa Monica to support those impacted by cancer for a day of spiritual rejuvenation led by twenty yoga instructors. All participants are being asked to pledge at least $500, in stead of paying a fee, and proceeds from the citywide event will benefit the Cancer Support Community – Benjamin Center, a local cancer center.

Dubbed Yogathon, the event will take place on February 25 from noon to 6 p.m. and include yoga classes led by some of the city’s top teachers, meditation sessions, pranayama exercises, music, dancing, food and drinks. There are also top fundraising prizes available.

There is a Yogathon Training Program to help prepare you for the physical challenge of completing six hours of yoga on the day of the event. All levels are welcome – whether you’ve been doing yoga for years, months, or never before.

Yogathon has already raised $18,716 of its $60,000 goal and there is still time for you to help raise funds too. In exchange for your fundraising, you will receive free registration, up for 12 free Yogathon training classes, health, fitness, nutrition and yoga tips, yoga instruction from over 20 teachers, personal fundraising webpage and fundraising support from professionals. You can register at YogathonLA.org

Naam Yoga LA is located at 1231 4th Street., Santa Monica, California.
