Sonja Rubin and Kip Chapelle had the Midas touch during New York Fashion Week. Their F/W 2012 collection featured after-six attire in—you guessed it—gold.

The presentation was held at the Rubin & Chapelle store in the meatpacking district and was attended by many, including Nigel Barker. Inspired by silhouettes of the twenties, the collection featured lingerie finishes on hems and necklines. Corset belts cinched the waists of evening gowns and pantsuits. The designer duo used mostly satin and metallic fabrics, but they also incorporated silk crepes and jerseys.
