Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Carolina Herrera Debuts F/W 2012 Collection

Carolina Herrera’s F/W 2012 collection began and ended in true Herrera form, with rich textures, smart tailoring and bold jewel tones. The show began with an indigo and black color story, which featured layered looks composed of feather embellishments and grosgrain detail. A common trend seen in most collections this season, the pieces tested and combined textures in what appeared to be an ode to the iconic style made famous by Audrey Hepburn.

The pieces were feminine, delicate, elegant and well proportioned, traveling from indigo and black and evolving into shades of grey, lilac and a bold hue that the designer named “haute” pink.

And haute it was.
