Luxury carmaker Bentley has produced a pair of hand crafted platinum £26,000 sunglasses to perfectly compliment their flagship car, the Bentley Mulsanne.

While the magnificent car will set you back approximately £225,000, the matching limited edition sunglasses created by Austrian specialists Estede are priced at £26,000. Estede has previously worked on commissioned high-end sunglasses for other luxury brands such as S.T. Dupont and Chopard, for which they created solid gold shades.

Chirstoph Rosenauer, son of Albrecht F. Rosenauer, who founded Estede in 1991, said, “The eyewear has been received very well with more orders than we could expect. Currently our main markets are Hong Kong, China and Russia, but we will start by the end of this year to distribute the products also in Great Britain, the US and the Middle East.”

The Bentley sunglasses, which are made to order, are selling well despite the steep price tag. Buyers exact specifications for the sunglasses are obtained and customized accordingly by an optician who visits the buyer before customizations are done. Personalization details on the frame (such as initials) can also be accommodated for an extra charge.

There is the signature “Flying B” logo printed on each frame in polished enamel and the glare-proof and scratch-resistant lenses are made by German-based Zeiss.

Bentley reports that they have already sold 25 of the platinum version and 70 of the more affordable 18-carat yellow gold, rose gold and white gold versions, which sell for £6,400. All of the sunglasses are individually numbered and limited to 100 pieces per color variation.
