Hailed as the most exciting and fascinating place to be in January, the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, has become an unconventional holiday for many. From now to January 29, the town will be buzzing with celebrities, exclusive parties and fantastic movie premieres. If you make the trek west for the fest, be sure to take in all that Utah has to offer.

HOT FILMKeep The Lights On, which chronicles the emotional and intimate journey two men share as they examine love, addiction and friendship. This moving and poignant film is both harrowing and romantic, visceral and intellectual.  Written and Directed by Ira Sachs.

POPULAR EVENTS: The Supper Club has become a favorite among the foodies at film festivals on a global level. For each of the five exclusive dinners, a yet-to-be-named celebrity chef will prepare a signature tasting menu for a crowd of filmmakers, artists, award nominees and other guests. The event will also draw some of the most popular DJs today including DJ Vice, Kaskade and Samantha Ronson, who will have the crowd dancing into the night.

BEST DINING: Park City is home to many award-winning restaurants that showcase an array of international cuisines to choose from. One of our favorites this year includes Silver, located at 508 Main Street, which features progressive American cuisine and an extensive wine list. Alternatively, enjoy cuisine inspired by Northern Italy and Southern France at Café Terigo, at 424 Main Street, which has been a Park City mainstay for nearly 25 years. Robert Redford’s restaurant, Zoom, located in the Sundance Resort, presents a sophisticated American menu in a vibrant communal atmosphere. Additional dining options include WahsoChimayo and Talisker on Main.

FOR THE KIDS: There are plenty of family-friendly activities in Park City ranging from instructional ski lessons for children as young as 3 to specialty snow-tubing parks and frosty fun playgrounds, such as Gorgoza Park. The tubing hill consists of three lifts, including two conveyor lifts, and seven different tubing lanes which provide plenty of options to choose from. There is even a separate tubing hill for the littlest tubers.
