Joey Fatone Takes Over the Hosting Duties at ‘The Price is Right Live’

Joey Fatone takes over the hosting duties at "The Price is Right Live" at Bally's Las Vegas.

“Bum bum ba dummmmm! Bum bum ba dummmmm!”

That bouncy music kicks off everyone’s favorite game show, “The Price is Right Live,” the stage version of the show right here at Bally’s Las Vegas. Aside from a shot at winning one of 50 prizes handed out during the show, starting next week, you can see Joey Fatone host the show. The *NSYNC member and contestant on season four of “Dancing with the Stars” takes over the hosting duties Jan. 11 through April 8.

And boy is this show fun. Every Contestant’s Row features four new contestants called out from the audience. First up, The Race Game, where a contestant has to run around trying to match four prices correctly for a chaise lounge, an exercise machine, luggage and a slot machine. Next up, It’s In the Bag, where the contestant has to get the prices right on six items found in grocery stores from lowest to highest. Back on Contestant’s Row and one contestant nails the price on a mini refrigerator.

Then comes a fan fave, Cliff Hanger, where the contestant watches a mountain climber scale the mountain for each dollar his guess is off. This contestant’s mountain climber falls off the mountain as the yodeling song plays.

Next up, The Big Wheel. Three new contestants are picked to play this game. The next winner plays Hole in One, even given two shots at making the putt. She misses both. Then a fan favorite, Plinko, but this contestant only nabs one Plinko chip.

The show ends with a Showcase Showdown where both new contestants try to guess the value of two trips, Yahoo stocks, a computer and a Nissan Versa. Needless to say, our guess of $20,850 was way over.

Now approaching its sixth year in Las Vegas, “The Price is Right Live” has been performed more than 1,200 times at Bally’s Las Vegas. More than one million fans have come to “The Price Is Right Live” for the chance to play and win prizes, and more than $10 million in cash and prizes have been given away.

Former guest hosts for the show have included Todd Newton, Alan Thicke, Marc Summers, George Hamilton, Doug Davidson, Bob Goen, JD Roberto, Roger Lodge, Mark L. Walberg, Michael Burger, Chuck Woolery, Marco Antonio Regil, Drew Lachey, David Ruprecht and Jerry Springer, who wrapped up his gig last month.

“The Price is Right Live” Stage Show at Bally’s Las Vegas performs Wednesday through Sunday  at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $56.25 and are available at the Bally’s and Paris box offices, or by calling 702-967-4567 or toll free at 1-877-374-7469. Tickets can also be purchased via www.ballyslasvegas.com.
