Dwyane Wade’s 30th Birthday Roundup

Dwyane Wade’s 30th birthday extravaganza was sponsored by some of the athlete’s partners; including Hublot, The Collection, Dom Perignon, Belvedere and Hennessy. After the aforementioned brunch hosted by Jolinda and Tragil Wade at the W South Beach Hotel and Residences on Saturday, Wade and his closest friends and family gathered for a special “30 for 30” dinner at The Setai South Beach, hosted by Dom Perignon, Belvedere and Hennessy. Dom Perignon presented Wade with a bottle from 1982, the year that Wade was born.

Following dinner, the Miami Heat All-Star was greeted by over 300 friends and VIP guests. The evening included special performances by Common, T.I., Rick Ross and Kelly Rowland. Wade was also surprised with a video tribute that included warm wishes from Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan, P. Diddy, Kelly Ripa, Anna Wintour, Queen Latifah, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Jay Leno, George Lopez, ABC’s Juju Chang, Al Roker, GQ’s Jim Moore, Kobe Bryant, teammates LeBron James and Chris Bosh, and others. Decadent and grandiose birthday cakes were also brought out for Wade, courtesy of Divine Delicacies Custom Cakes.

As a brand ambassador for luxury watch brand Hublot, Wade was presented with a King Power Unico Gold Pave watch. The 48 mm limited edition watch, cased in 18k king gold and encrusted with 2.08 carats of diamonds, features a skeleton sapphire dial. The timepiece was personalized for Wade with a special birthday message on the back from Hublot Chairman, Jean-Claude Biver.

But the extraordinary gifts didn’t end there. Ken Gorin, president and CEO of The Collection, presented Wade with the all-new 2012 McLaren MP4-12C.  The custom-ordered car features alloy wheel center caps with Wade’s signature logo, signature “WADE” detailing and dedication plates on the inside door panels that read “Hand assembled in the United Kingdom in recognition of Dwyane Wade’s 30th Birthday.” We can’t think of a hauter way to ring in 30.
