On December 6th, 2011, Shawn and Larry King had the honor of hosting the 4th Annual Children’s Action Network Holiday Party, also known as (CAN). This amazing event helps more than 107,000 children that are in foster care find homes with adoptive families and to raise awareness, by joining together activists, designers, artists and charitable celebrities. In order to raise proceeds, many celebrities such as Antwone Fisher, Kelly Wearstler, Todd Williamson, Virginia Madsen and Teri Hatcher, make handcrafted wreaths which are auctioned.

In the past, CAN has managed to host several successful events with helpful partners such as Gucci, the Robert Berman Gallery, Veranda, Mr. Chow’s, Fashionology, Sela Ward, The House of Windsor and Stella McCartney. However, this 4th annual event included many attendees that enjoyed mingling over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Guests such as, Elizabeth Espinosa, Allee Willis, Cole Sternberg, Mary McDonald, Norton Wisdom, Lulu Powers, Homeira Goldstein, Stacey Kohl, and Linda Thompson. Including event chairs, Donna Antebi, Shelley Reid, Dawn Moore, Anne Simonds, Actress Angela Featherstone, Dr. Gabriel Chiu and Christine Chiu.

To spread holiday spirit, the Children’s Action Network (CAN) and The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption will premiere “A Home for The Holidays” on December 23rd on CBS at 8pm ET/PT, with expected special guests performances by MYA, No Doubt, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Enrique Iglesias, and Train.

Also, proceeds from Rachel Miriam’s black pave diamond necklace for $350 help to benefit the Children’s Action Network. For additional information on The Children’s Action Network, please check the website at http://childrensactionnetwork.org/
