Haute Yachts: $300 Million Serene Yacht Spotted in Manhattan

Haute Living recently told you about Serene, a $300 million, 440-foot yacht that was launched by Italian shipyard Fincantieri. After a recent jaunt to Bermuda with its rumored owner, the world’s 9th largest yacht has just pulled in to the port of Manhattan.

Occupying an enormously expensive berth at a pier on the west side, Serene is the only Italian-built vessel among the world’s top 25. Rumored owner, Russian Stolichnaya vodka tycoon Yuri Shefler, has been making the most of his new toy, which features two helicopter landing platforms (one with a hanger), storage for a large submarine able to reach depth of more than 100 meters and an enormous indoor seawater pool that can also be used for tender docking.

The Serene also has seven decks and almost 50,000 square feet of interior space including approximately 30,000 square feet of luxurious living space, making this yacht larger than most mansions.

Pascale Reymond of Reymond Langton Design conceived the extravagant designs throughout this yacht. The interior scheme was designed to compliment the stunning naval architecture by famed Espen Oeino.

The world’s only larger vessels than Serene belong to sultans, kings, Emirs, Roman Abramovich, David Geffen and Paul Allen.
