On Monday night, resident deejay Steve Aoki celebrated his 34th birthday at XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas with a sea of fans, celebrities and fellow artists. Notable faces in the crowd included Michael Trevino, star in the hit CW series “Vampire Diaries,” French DJ Joachim Garraud, as well as hip-hop legend Flavor Flav, who joined Aoki on stage for a portion of the evening.
Trevino is apparently expanding his acting duties beyond his werewolf heartthrob role. His previous tweets suggest that he is starring as a superhero in Aoki’s upcoming video for his single “Tornado.” Trevino was spotted partying on stage until the early hours of the evening, taking in his friend’s deejay set and snapping photos when Aoki did his signature stage dive onto the dance floor.
Aoki was presented with a four tier-cake from XS Managing Partner Jesse Waits created by Las Vegas bakery Gimme Some Sugar. The top tier featured a look-alike figurine on a raft spraying champagne, one of the electronic artist’s favorite pastimes during his performances.
Throughout the evening, he ran down to the front of the stage with different tiers and threw the cake out to fans vying for his attention. Determined not to disappoint, he often times got on top of the DJ booth, spraying the crowd with champagne before taking multiple stage dives and surfing the crowd in an inflatable raft.
