HAUTE AMBASSADOR: DORI’S WORLD

I attended the kick off party for the Angel Ball at Charles and Annabelle Murphy’s amazing townhouse.

New York Fashion week was a blur of events, shows and parties. Two of my favorite shows during New York Fashion Week were Charlotte Ronson and Diane Von Furstenberg, because they were filled with friends and fun. CharotteRonson’s show was Saturday night at Lincoln Center and was attended by Samantha Ronson, Ali Wise and Kelly Osbourne. The DVF show on Sunday brought lots of fabulous people, including fellow designers Valentino and Oscar de La Renta. Rachel Zoe, Nicky Hilton, Poppy Delevigne, Anna Wintour, Barry Diller, Carlos Souza, Coco Brandolini, Lorenzo Martone, Anne McNally, Ahn Duong and Anna Dello Russo also attended. The show included great new prints and bright colors for next season and was followed by a dinner at Indochine, where Mayor Michael Bloomberg came and gave a speech.

I also attended the Wolford, Chris Benz, Rachel Zoe and Alice + Olivia presentations. Rachel Zoe showed an amazing new line while Stacey Bendet’s Alice + Olivia presentation was celebrated with ice blends and mini sprinkle cupcakes. The Alice + Olivia show brought out ladies such as Nicky Hilton, Ali Wise, Tinsley Mortimer, Alexa Ray Joel, Michelle Trachtenberg, Lydia Hearst-Shaw and Vanity Fair’s Amy Fine Collins.

Another big fall event is The Angel Ball. I attended the kick off party for the Angel Ball at Charles and Annabelle Murphy’s amazing townhouse. The Angel Ball is an annual charity gala hosted by Denise Rich and her daughter Daniella Rich in honor of Gabrielle Rich, who passed away due to Leukimia. At the event was Natalie Cole, Sharon Bush, Tinsley Mortimer, Caroline Berthet, Michael Clemente, Michelle Rella, Lorraine Schwartz, June Haynes and Lesley Schulhof. I also attended

Paolo Zampolli’s birthday party was held on the terrace of his home at the Gramercy. Kamal Hotchandani from Haute Living attended, as did Ana Paula Junqueira, Maria Buccellati, Maggio Cipriani, Gillian Maxwell, Brandon Green, Joe Mcmad and Karen Larrain. But the night didn’t stop there; my last stop was the Marchesa party at The Dream Hotel with Nicky Hilton, Derek Blasberg and Lyle Maltz. New York is on fire this week!

I also attended the fabulous Daphne Guinness’ opening reception for the exhibition of her clothing collections at the Fashion Institute of Technology. On the guest list were Derek Blasberg, Andre Balaz, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein. Then it was off to Andrew Saffir’s Cinema Society movie screening, Straw Dogs at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, attended by Cindy Adams and Topper Mortimer. Inga and Keith Rubenstein showed up at The Lion after stopping by Gagosian’s and the Crown, David Schulhof and Drew Katz also made appearances. Ted Waitt and Mary Alice Stephenson spent some time at Mister H and Bradley Cooper was spotted looking hot at Double Seven. The last stop was Provocateur with Haute Living’s Kamal Hotchandani, Jonathan Cheban and the rest of the haute New Yorkers.
