Art Basel: MOCA North Miami and Vanity Fair Art Basel kick-off Bash and Private Dinner

Last night, members of the fashion, art and design world converged to celebrate the 10th year of Art Basel Miami Beach and 15 years of MOCA North Miami. The DEWAR’S hosted MOCA North Miami/Vanity Fair Art Basel kick-off bash also celebrated MOCA’S latest exhibition, “Mark Handforth: Rolling Stop,” taking place from November 29th, 2011 through February 19th, 2012. In addition, Donna Karan debuted her Urban Zen pop-up store at MOCA North Miami.

DEWAR’S Scotch Whisky along with MOCA North Miami honored special guests Ingrid Sischy and Sandra Brant as a dynamic duo and“Double Act” at the event.  The iconic “Double Act” of Ingrid Sischy and Sandy (Sandra) Brant has supported MOCA and Art Basel Miami Beach from the very beginning, which inspired DEWAR’S to honor the dynamic duo for their incredible contributions to the world of journalism, art and fashion.

In a video interview, Ingrid said, “There is no doubt that Sandy is my better half” and of course, Sandy agreed.

Guests including famed Julian Schnabel, Rachid Benzine,  iconic photographer Bruce Weber, Nan Bush, Ingrid Sischy, Sandy Brant, MOCA North Miami’s Bonnie Clearwater, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan,  Tamara Mellon, artist Mark Handforth, artist Tracey Emin, Mark Ellwood, Darrell Hartman, actor Christian Slater, and Blaine Trump, just to name a few.

After the party, guests headed over to the private residence of Sandra and Stephen Muss for a beautiful seated dinner in their backyard that was transformed into a tropical wonderland.
