This special medievel suite in the Chateau Brametourte in Lautrec France  has a nice blend of romance and comfort. Its walls are made of a rare pink stone from a medieval quarry. It has spectacular views on three sides of its tower and is accessed through an ancient, circular stone staircase. Its floor is covered  with ancient, traditional, handmade, terracotta tiles. This is the chamber where many sightings of the ghost a young woman has taken place. She was reportedly locked in the tower during the 11th century.

The chamber is connected to its private bathroom by an ancient oak beamed and lime rendered corridor. The bathroom contains a walk in, marble wet area, toilet, sink and towel rails.

o   Historical Haunted Home in New Orleans

This historic house with gorgeous courtyard has been featured in several books and recently filmed for the Travel Channel for the resident ghost, Madame Mineurecanal. High ceilings, exposed brick, curving staircase make this art filled home a masterpiece ! Located in the heart of the trendy Marigny neighborhood,  give minute walk to French Quarter. Nearby are cozy restaurants, cafes and neighborhood bars. Live music almost every night at Mimi’s across the street.

o   Mansion Ruins in Texas Ghost Town of Terlingua

Upstairs at the Mansion opened in November of 2008 in this Texas town, and has been busy hosting adventurers and explorers of all kinds since. This unique two-room boutique hotel, is the center-piece of the Terlingua Ghost Town. Built in 1909 out of rock and adobe, the mansion was home to the owner of the Chisos Mining Co., Howard E. Perry. Situated on a limestone hill overlooking the Ghost Town, with commanding views of the Chisos Mountains, the mansion has 22 inch walls downstairs, and 14 1/2 inch walls upstairs. The addition on the South side of the mansion was built in 1912, and has been restored to it’s original condition on the interior.

Within a short walk of the mansion, breakfast awaits you at the Ghost Town Cafe, espresso & wi-fi at Poco y Mas, and most notable the famous “Porch” at the Starlight Theatre & Terlingua Trading Co., where locals congregate to watch the sunset and trade tales, while enjoying a cold beverage, each evening.

Wild West Modern is an Inn / Bed and Breakfast style Vacation Rental house located in the New Mexico ghost town of Cuchillo and housed on the Old Cuchillo Bar property. This historic New Mexico property has been host to the old saloon, general store, mercantile, post office, stables and hotel since being established as a stage coach stop in the mid 1800s.
