Legendary Studio 54 Reopens for ‘One Night Only’

New York’s elite gathered for an exclusive extravaganza at the legendary Studio 54 Nightclub, on October 18th, for a ‘One Night Only’ party of the past, hosted by SiriusXM Radio. Owned by partners Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell until 1986, Schrager deemed the party as commemorative of a glorious time in the New York City club scene, and affirmed the deceased Rubell would be proud.

“He would have loved it. It was the real deal. I could almost see Steve in the DJ booth stopping the music and inviting everybody to go to the bar for a free drink,” said Schrager to the New York Post.

Celebrities Cameron Diaz, Naomi Campbell, Keith Richards, Clive Davis, Nikki Haskell, and Kevin Bacon were spotted, validating a posh guestlist that the club has always been popular for.

Nostalgic artifacts of the famed discotheque were scattered about, including original doorman Marc Benecke and the club’s first shirtless busboy, Richie Notar.

As the night raged on, lines of eager club goers crowded outside the venue, while beautiful people caroused around an iconic piece of the past.
