Haute Gifts: Five Fantasy Presents in 2011 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book

It’s that time of year again – all the holidays begin to pile up and Christmas planning starts early. Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus has introduced its Christmas Book 2011 to provide customers with a fabulous list of gift ideas for the holiday season.

WET Dancing Fountain – $1 million

If you’re looking for something extravagant, unique and even charitable, the WET Dancing Fountain may be something for you. Since 1983, WET has been a pioneer in the field of designer fountains, including the DUBAI fountain which is the largest of its kind in the world. WET has developed a million dollar version of their latest creation, the dancing fountain with robotic features. Individual nozzles spray water in a way that gives the appearance of a couple dancing, sometimes as a couple or even as dance rivals. With the sale of this exquisite gift, a donation of $10,000 goes to the WATER.ORG organization, which works to provide clean portable water to developing countries around the world.

Bespoke Ferrari FF – $395,000

You’d probably be hard-pressed to find a friend or relative who wouldn’t appreciate a nice new Ferrari for the holidays. Created exclusively for the Neiman Marcus store, you can purchase a limited edition Ferrari FF – but you have to be quick. Neiman Marcus will only be selling the car to 10 lucky (and qualifying) customers. The store has also been keeping strict watch to ensure that no customer can purchase more than one unit of this car. The Ferrari FF has a V-12 engine of 651 HP capacity, which can take you from 0-100 km/ph in under 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of over 322 km/ph. The body, as well as the interiors, has received a special grey tone called the “Grigio Caldo”, and the limited edition car features embellishments of the Neiman Marcus logo. There is also a custom luggage set that comes with the car and seating capacity is for 4 adults with ample space for comfort.

Hacker Craft Speed Boat – $250,000

Purchase a Hacker Speed Boat from the Niemen Marcus 2011 Christmas collection and get a 27-footer speed vessel which has 1400 hours of detailed craftsmanship used on its body and technical components, including a rare mahogany wooden hull, embalmed with 15 coats of varnish for the perfect finish. The engine is a marine 8.2 with high output of 425 HP of displacement capacity, meeting some of the highest standards of European boating. The limited edition production of 10 boats has features like underwater lighting, gold leaf waterline, cream-colored seats with purple piping, GPS, refrigerator and a premium stereo system for entertainment. There is also a monogrammed humidor to store your favorite cigars. A donation of $3,000 will be made to the Double H Ranch for each sale conducted, aimed at rehabilitating families with children suffering from life-threatening diseases.

Tom Burr Ping-Pong Table – $45, 000

Made out of high-grade black rubber, this ping-pong table is shaped sharply at the edges and has an opaque net in between. The bonus? Tom Burr says, “more bounce for your buck”, referring to the superior experience of playing the sport on this table. There are only 10 pieces of this version of the table and with each sale, $2,500 will go to the charitable institution called Big Brothers Big Sisters, who work in the area of children’s welfare.

Johnnie Walker Private Scotch Tasting Session – $5,000

A special tasting session can be arranged to give guests and 20 others the opportunity to taste some of the most unique blends of Johnnie Walker, including the Blue, Black, Red and Green labels. A certified event planner ensures that the evening runs smoothly according to your needs and a Master of Whiskey demonstrates the fine intricacies of Scotch tasting and their associated history. After the event, each of the accompanying guests will get a souvenir Johnnie Walker Blue label bottle for their personal consumption. All guests must be 21 years of age to participate. All proceeds go towards AIDS Research and Cure.
